Proverbs 8
"You'll recognize this as true—you with open minds; truth-ready minds will see it at once".
I found this passage interesting because how many times have we tried to speak wisdom to someone and they just don't see it. I get frustrated when I see people who are walking down a road I have traveled that leads to stupid. I know the problems and sorrow at the end of that path. If people don't have a "truth-ready mind" they can't process what I am saying. We need to focus on helping people develop a "truth-ready mind". I find it much easier to just tell people the truth and blame them for not understanding it.
"I told them what to do. It is not my fault they didn't do it. So I don't have to do anything else. I have done my part. Now it is up to them." Have you ever said or thought things like that?
We can't make people learn something. However we do need to focus on the correct things. When we are helping people we need to do more than just tell them what is right. We need to try and help them develop and "truth-ready mind".
