Proverbs 7
This is the fourth out of seven chapters to talk about adultery. The other three times I have related it to relationships in general. Good practices in relationships can help you with everyone you know. The Book of Proverbs is giving special attention to adultery. Adultery isn't a coffee table subject. I have never started a conversation with "So how is the adultery going in your life?" or "Committed any adultery lately?". We need to be watchful for the type of people who are described in this chapter. We need to be on the lookout for the person (man or woman) who is all dressed up and looking to drag us in. The world tells us this is OK. On the way into work this morning a song was on the radio telling a story about adultery. Adultery is a staple in TV plots. Just in case anyone is confused, the Bible say adultery is bad, a sin, not good, not funny, not OK, going to ruin your life, make you poor, going to ruin your reputation, going to lead to your death.

Good thoughts, David. You're right. Adultery can appear to be harmless...but we must consider our spouse, our family--and the damage it could do to our esteem--wow. Thank you God for your protection from Proverbs!
