Proverbs 4
I find it interesting each chapter starts out about the same. Listen, listen, listen. I know what I am talking about. I am saying this for your own good. Your life is at stake. The writer is very passionate about getting us to listen to what he has to say. Verses 9 to 18 go even farther than before. Its saying "don't even think about thinking about straying from wisdom". Don't even get close to doing something stupid. This is so different from what the world tells us. I have been asked several times about a man and a woman living together. One of them has a apartment and the other has no where to go. Is this OK? Proverbs 4 tells us to give stupid a "wide berth". I think it is a bad idea because it will lead to problems. I know people who have spent time in jail because it looked like they had do something wrong. If they would have given the situation a "wide berth" their life would be very different.
