Proverbs 30
3-4 "I flunked 'wisdom.' I see no evidence of a holy God.Has anyone ever seen Anyone climb into Heaven and take charge? grab the winds and control them? gather the rains in his bucket? stake out the ends of the earth?Just tell me his name, tell me the names of his sons. Come on now—tell me!" Proverbs 30:3-4 The Message
How do you respond to this question? What do you tell a friend or co-worker when they challenge the existence of God? Should we get the church together and start a crusade? Should we grab a club? How does the writer respond? The writer says "Every promise of God proves true; he protects everyone who runs to him for help." He follows this up with a mild warning that God will take people to task. In other words, God will use circumstance to get our attention.
The writer doesn't try to bully people into believing in God. He basically holds his life up as an example. He tells the person about how God is true to His word. Then he prays and asks God to take care of his needs and to protect him from pride.
I have to ask myself, could my life be used as an example?
